Wednesday, March 22 is World Water Day. This day is about taking action to tackle the worldwide water crisis (Assembly, 2017). This year’s theme “Why wastewater?” focuses attention on reusing wastewater as much as we can. Here are some tips:
These are a few simple tips to reduce the water we waste and safely reuse wastewater. According to the World Water Day website, “the vast majority of all the wastewater from our homes, cities, industry and agriculture flows back to nature without being treated or reused – polluting the environment, and losing valuable nutrients and other recoverable materials,” (Assembly, 2017).
By reducing and reusing wastewater, we protect our most valuable resource. Make steps to conserve water and safely reuse wastewater today.
