WCC 50th Anniversary

Sunday, September 25^th join Washtenaw Community College in celebrating its 50th anniversary. The theme is “Opening Doors” celebrating the opportunities created for the hundreds of thousands of students over the college’s 50 year history. There will be events all day and an open house here at THFC, with an opportunity for prospective members to join with a reduced initiation fee. Come between 12:00pm – 4:00pm for a free tour and receive a guest pass to try out WCC’s amazing Health and Fitness Center. Learn how a Polar body-age assessment can improve your fitness and help you reach your fitness goals.

Scavenger Hunt

Join the Hunt around WCC’s beautiful campus and win a GoPro Hero video camera. Uncover cool sites, learn about technology, and maybe even discover a new career.  Download our scavenger hunt app or go old-school with paper and pencil. Everyone who completes in the hunt will be entered to win one of two GoPro Hero Cameras.

Time Capsule & Anniversary Cake

Join President Bellanca as she seals a time capsule for discovery 25 years from now! WCC’s Jazz Combo will entertain guests while enjoying a piece of  our 50th Anniversary cake. Time Capsule Ceremony is at 1:30 pm and cake begins at 2:00 pm.

Campus Tours

Walking tours of WCC’s beautiful campus will include glimpses of state-of-the-art classrooms and other points of interest. For those with mobility concerns limited tours will be available using a golf cart. Scavenger hunt tips will be provided on tours. Show up early to save a spot!

WCC Entrepreneur Showcase

Browse and buy at the WCC Entrepreneur Showcase. Entrepreneurs, supported by The Entrepreneurship Center at WCC, are showing off their business acumen and products.

Party in the Park

Cider and donuts, carnival food, Frisbee golf, wax hands, airbrush tattoos, face painting, bounce house, Pokemon Go, and corn hole – all we need is you to make it a party in WCC’s Community Park. All activities are free.

Food

No party would be complete without food! Enjoy lunch on campus with one of two vendors. Hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chips, and drinks will be available for purchase.
