Breast cancer is a disease that affects both men and women and is among the most common cancers. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime.
In observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members may make a donation at the Member Services desk to St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Cancer Center.
Individuals who donate will receive a paper flower to post at the center in memory or honor of a friend or loved one affected by breast cancer.
