Maintain your athletic edge with these valuable tips:
Strike a Balance
Maintaining a wholesome balance between higher-impact activities such as running, weightlifting or basketball and lower-impact workouts like yoga, stretching or walking is vital to your success as an athletic adult; it’s important to allow the body to recover, so you stay injury-free.
Recovery First
Kick recovery into high gear by implementing yoga, acupuncture, massage therapy and/or icing into your life.
In Good Company
Social interaction has long-term, positive psychological effects. Instead of solely focusing on the sport or activity, consider building a community around it.
Winning Isn’t Everything
When you are engaging in healthy competition while not taking winning too seriously, you often put greater effort into your inner game: reducing anxiety and frustration through mindfulness techniques (e.g., journaling, meditation, yoga).
