Fall is a great time to set new fitness goals. The weather is cooling down, making it more enjoyable to get outside and exercise. Plus, the holidays are just around the corner, so you’ll want to be in your best shape. But how do you stay on track with your fitness goals during the fall? Here are a few tips:
Start with small, achievable goals, such as exercising for 30 minutes a day, three times a week. Once you’ve reached your initial goals, you can gradually increase the duration and intensity of your workouts.
If you don’t enjoy your workouts, you’re less likely to stick with them. Find an activity that you find fun and challenging. There are many different types of exercise to choose from, so there’s sure to be something you enjoy. Exploring the variety of land and water group exercise classes at the center is a good place to start.
Schedule your workouts in advance and stick to your schedule as much as possible. This will help you stay on track and avoid skipping workouts.
Having a workout buddy can help you stay motivated and accountable. Find a friend or family member who is also interested in fitness and work out together.
Treat exercise like any other important appointment in your day. Don’t let other things get in the way of your workouts.
When you reach a fitness goal, reward yourself with something special. This will help you stay motivated and on track.
No matter what your fitness goals are, the most important thing is to be consistent. Even if you can only plan for 30 minutes a day, you’re off to a good start. Just keep moving and you’ll see results over time.
